Peter Jacobsen: The Musician

A life-long music fan, Peter taught himself to play the guitar while growing up in Portland, Oregon, and still enjoys sitting down to play when he finds the time. Peter has also enjoyed getting up on stage and jamming with some all-time greats like Glenn Frey, Stephen Stills, Graham Nash, Vince Gill, Alice Cooper, Edwin McCain, Hootie & the Blowfish, Huey Lewis and the News and REO Speedwagon.

In the mid-80s, Peter formed Jake Trout and the Flounders along with Mark Lye and Payne Stewart. Writing humorous golf-related lyrics to popular songs, the band was a hit on the golf circuit! Recently Peter worked with independent singer-songwriter Amy Biery, and was the executive producer for her debut album Learning To Walk.

Some of Peter’s all-time favorite bands include The Beatles, Jethro Tull, The Eagles, Huey Lewis and the News and Bruce Hornsby. Peter also enjoys listening to newer musicians like Edwin McCain, Hootie & the Blowfish, Maroon 5, Jonny Lang, Little Big Town and Reckless Kelly.
